Elm was born out of a simple frustration: every budgeting app we tried either felt like a spreadsheet dressed up in a suit or was so complicated it needed its own tutorial series.
We're Hans and Aysia — a couple from Las Vegas who believe that managing your money shouldn't feel like punishment. It should feel like watching something beautiful grow.
Meet Elm the Squirrel
Every good tree needs a companion. Our mascot, Elm the Squirrel, is your cheerful financial sidekick. He walks around your screen, plays basketball at night, and celebrates every milestone with you.
When you're overspending, he notices. When you hit a savings goal, he cheers. And yes — he sleeps from 11:30 PM to 6:00 AM because even squirrels need rest.

The heart of Elm is your Savings Tree. It starts as a tiny seedling and grows through seven stages — all the way to an Ancient Tree at $100,000+. Branches appear as your savings increase. Leaves multiply. Fruits grow when your net worth rises.
It's a living visualization of your financial progress. No graphs, no pie charts — just a tree that grows with you.
Why "Elm"?
Elm trees are known for their incredible resilience. They grow strong, provide shelter, and stand the test of time. That's exactly what financial freedom should be — not a quick fix, but a foundation that lasts.
We named our app after a tree because we believe building wealth is a natural process. It takes patience, good habits, and consistent care. Just like growing a tree.
